6/3/14 After resting away from the nest in the northwestern trees, Charlie heads out in the early morning to briefly fish on the Thames River in Groton and returns to the nest by 7:30 a.m. He stays near the nest for just over an hour, then fishes at Silver Eel Cove and the northwest shoreline, and then returns to stay near the nest from 9:30-10 a.m. Charlie then makes a few more trips around the west end before heading to the mainland for a quick second trip around 10:30 a.m.

Charlie returns from his second trip to the mainland around 11:30 a.m. and stays near the nest until 2:30 p.m. He then heads to the southern shoreline to fish, and then to Silver Eel Cove and the northwestern shoreline, and makes a quick stop back at the nest. He makes another trip to both the southern and northwestern shores, but then continues north for a third trip to the mainland.

Charlie reaches Mumford Cove in Groton by 3:15 p.m. and continues northwest to Baker Cove, then to the Groton Reservoir, to the Gold Star Bridge, and the Thames River to the north. He reaches Goss Cove around 3:30 p.m., then begins to return south and takes a break in some trees south of the Groton City Police from 4-4:45 p.m. He then continues south to Baker Cove and is back on the island before 5:30 p.m. Charlie stays near the nest until 7 p.m., then makes a couple trips to the southern and northwestern shoreline before retuning to the nest again, and retires to the northwest trees around 8:45 p.m.
