6/2/14 Charlie spends the early morning fishing around the west end of Fishers Island and returns to the nest in-between. Just after 8:30 a.m., he heads north to Mumford Cove in Groton, then west to Baker Cove and continues further northwest across the Thames River to Mitchell College in New London, where he takes a break on a pole at the baseball field from 9-9:30 a.m., before he circles back southeast to the nest on Fishers Island by 10 a.m.

Charlie remains by the nest until 11:30 a.m., then makes a quick hunting trip to the nearby northern shoreline and then spends an hour in the trees northwest of the nest. He then makes a quick stop back at the nest before making another trip around the west end. At 1:30 p.m he makes a second trip to the mainland, through the mouth of the Thames River, just below the Gold Star Bridge and circles back through Groton and Baker Cove to Fishers Island by 2:15 pm. Charlie stays near the nest for the rest of the afternoon and early evening, then at 7:45 p.m. makes a final trip to the northern shoreline and retires for the evening in the trees to the northwest.
