5/15/14 Around 6 a.m. Charlie leaves the nest area near the west end’s Transfer Station on Fishers Island and heads north to Mill Cove along the Thames River, but then heads southwest to the Keeny Cove area of the Niantic River and is back on the Island by 9 a.m. During the rest of the morning and early afternoon, he makes a few fishing trips around the west end and southern shoreline, returning to the nest in-between. Just after 4 p.m. Charlie heads back to the mainland between Mumford Cove and Baker Cove in Groton, then fishes along the Thames River as far north as Smith Cove, then returns to the Island by 6:30 p.m. for the night near the nest.
