The Museum is embarking upon a major project: the completion of our second floor and the addition of a handicap access elevator lift.
Since Edwin reached Connecticut just over a month ago, he has spent much of his time on the mainland with his most frequent location being the Latimer Brook area of East Lyme and the Niantic River just to the east of it (see map above and April 26 post below for Google Earth view). According
4/24/14 Edwin spends the early morning in the Latimer Brook and Niantic River area, then heads east across the Thames and is at Groton reservoir area by 8 a.m. He spends his time between the reservoirs and area of Avery point but then heads further east and reaches Noank, Beebe Cove and Sixpenny Island before
4/22/14 Edwin spends the early morning in the Latimer Brook and Niantic River area, then heads east and crosses the Thames River at Mamacoke Cove around 11 a.m. to reach the Groton Reservoir area before noon. He spends the afternoon between there and just south near Avery point but around 5 p.m. heads back west
April 20 4/20/14 Edwin spends the early morning in the Latimer Brook and Niantic River area, then heads south and is near the shoreline by 8:30 a.m., then he heads west through South Lyme to the Connecticut River to spend the rest of the morning and afternoon reaching as far north as Selden
4/17/14 Edwin spends the morning and afternoon on Fishers Island but heads for the mainland just before 5 p.m. and spends the rest of the day and night around Latimer Brook and the Niantic River. 4/18/14 Edwin spends the early morning in Latimer Brook and the Niantic River area, then heads southeast and is at
4/16/14 Edwin leaves Fishers Island and heads for the mainland around 8 a.m. and reaches Chesterfield by 10:45 a.m., then heads east to Ledyard before noon and then south back to the middle of Fishers Island before 1 p.m. where he spends the rest of the day and a second night. View Close-up
4/15/14 Edwin spends the early morning around Latimer Brook in East Lyme but heads east across the Thames River to Groton Reservoir by 10:15 a.m. and then south to Fishers Island before 11 a.m. He visits the Matty Matthiessen Wildlife Sanctuary and Island Pond, then heads east around 2 p.m. to the Chocomount trail section
4/14/14 Edwin spends the early morning at Willys Brook, then heads south for a quick visit at Latimer Brook around 7:30 a.m. before heading east across the Thames and is at Groton Reservoir before 9 a.m. Around noon, he heads south and is on Fishers Island by 12:30 p.m. Edwin spends a few hours between
