Sunday, October 22nd, 2017
Time: 4 p.m. (47 minute length)

Windshield fireIntercutting home movies, interviews and photographs, the filmmaker carries us along on a whirlwind architectural tour from the project’s inception in the early 1930s to a completion that collided with the 1938 Hurricane. Of particular interest to island residents will be the color aerials of the island in the 1930s, the home movies of the Brown family at play, and the coverage of Chief Bob Wall leading the FIFD as it fights the fire that ultimately destroyed the house in the 1970s.

Discussion and reception afterwards hosted by Pierce Rafferty.
