March 23 ~ New Jersey to Connecticut
March 23 ~ After a night in New Jersey, Edwin continued his spring migration north and headed towards New York. He crossed the Hudson River in Manhattan around noon, and passed though Queens and Huntington, then turned north across Long Island Sound. In the early afternoon, Edwin reach Bridgeport Connecticut and followed the shoreline waterways east, eventually reaching two of his favorite hunting grounds. He stopped briefly at the Hamburg Cove area of the Connecticut River, then reached the Niantic River by early evening and remained for the night. After a migration that began on February 26 in Brazil, Edwin was back!

Edwin Tracking March 24
March 24 ~ Early in the morning, Edwin began a loop from nearby Latimer Brook, to Waterford, Orient Point NY, and the mouth of the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook. He then spent the late morning and early afternoon between the mouth of the river and the Old Lyme shoreline. Mid afternoon Edwin returned to the Niantic River and nearby Latimer Brook in East Lyme. He then spent the rest of the day between the upper stretches of Latimer Brook and the Niantic River, then settled at Darrow Pond for the night.

Edwin Tracking March 25: From Latimer Brook to Waterford and the Connecticut River
March 25 ~ After a night on Darrow Pond, Edwin visited waterways from the upper stretches of Latimer Brook to the lower at the Niantic River and Waterford to the east, then headed to the Old Lyme Shoreline and remained ’til mid afternoon. In the late afternoon, Edwin headed north along the Connecticut River first to Lords Cove, then Hamburg Cove. He followed Eight Mile River north in the early evening, then headed east to Powers Lake for the night.
